Nor Amin received a B.Sc in Applied (Industrial Chemistry) from the University of Science of Malaysia. He is currently a Chairman/Founder of Global Haltech Sdn. Bhd. and holding the post of Business Director at Halvec Laboratories Sdn. Bhd. since October 2015. Before this, his experience as a Manager of Halal Science Lab from June 2014 until October 2015 after serving as Assistant Manager at TPM Biotech Sdn. Bhd. from 2009 to May 2014.
Nor Amin had a 14-year career in laboratory-related activities, including Halal Science. He is actively involved as a speaker, talking on Halal, especially on Halal Scientific analysis local and abroad. He has been a member of the Malaysian Chemistry Institute as a registered chemist since 2005. He has led several Halal science-related projects such as the setting up of Halal Science Laboratory, Halalcopoeia Project, Halal Slaughtering Project, Halal Authentication Guidelines of Bird’s Nest and Screening of Halal Additives/E-Numbers.
He has been appointed as a team leader for most of his projects. Currently, he has actively provided Halal Lab Set-up Consultation, in which he leads the team to assist commercial and government labs towards Halal Laboratory compliance. He is also internationally involved as Technical Advisor for Halal Korea, Korean Muslim Chamber, Muslim Professional Japan Association and Nippon Asia Halal Association.

Rohaizad has been in the food industry for more than 25 years, and at Yildiz Holding, he leads the Consumer Sensitivity program. He is responsible for establishing the compliance culture on Halal, Kosher, and Vegetarian standards in his global role. Before joining Yildiz Holding, Rohaizad was the Director at Lufthansa Service Holding based in Frankfurt. He headed the global Halal compliance and strategy for Lufthansa’s inflight catering, mainly in Europe and the Americas.
In Malaysia, he was the General Manager at Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC). HDC is focusing on the country’s agenda on Halal Economic Development. Prior to joining the government, he was also at Malaysia Airlines as Controller of Inflight Concept Development and various operations positions for ten years focusing on Halal and research.
Rohaizad has a CPD in Advanced Strategic Management from the University of Salford and graduated in Food Service Management from MARA Technology University, Malaysia.
